My plan to save the children
04.29.08 (1:05 pm)   [edit]

So now i have a plan!  After a long night with little sleep and lots of research i have finally figured out a plan to help the children.  I've been working on my first children's book.  And now i have a plan that involves this book and hopefully several other childrens books.  I plan (hopefully everything will work out) to write a series of children's books and submit them to several publishers who will hopefully be interested in publishing the books.  Upon selling these books 100% of the procedes from the children's books will go towards a foundation that will provide clothing, food, and shelter to those children abused in Eastern KY.  (where i'm from).... I looked online a LOT and could not find one shelter in this area for abused children.  I just couldn't.  No i'm sure by contacting CPS(child protective services) i could find out what happens to the children (and i intend on doing so), but i also intend on making things better for these children.  And if i'm wrong and there is a shelter or foundation in this area then all the procedes from the books will go towards that shelter/foundation to better improve to make sure these children are well taken care of.  I can no longer stand by and do nothing. In this way I feel as if i'm doing something.  I know my plan contends on my book actually getting picked up by a big publisher, but i'm driven and when i am determined to do something, then i usually get what i want.  I'm recillent, and on this matter I will not give up.   I also plan on some how getting state legislatures to push for tougher laws against child abuse.  This can not go on, we as mothers and fathers have to stand up and make people listen to us.  We have to protect those who can not protect themselves.  This is something very close to me, because as a mother, i can't imagine my children being hurt, and i can't stand by while another child is hurt.  I wont do it anymore.  So i'm going to do my best to help those in need.

Well that's all for now, i've got a lot of work to do!!

I tink the reason you can't find a shelter is, they don't call it shelter...there are "Mercy" homes, but usually the State takes them into custody, and puts them into foster care!
We just had a deal where a toddler put into foster care (relative) was found
tortured and permanently disfigured! The child was 5 years old! She got 5 years..What a travesty!!!! and a 4,500 dollar fine!! Where in the hell is the supervision of children in Foster care? I was really angered over this, and think she should have gotten 30 years!! Life for the life she partially destroyed would have been a good punishment!! 5 years? ridiculous!!!

reply to barnabu1:
i agree 5 years for child abuser is absolutley ridiculous. I think that people who hurt children should be locked away and forgotten about. In my opinion when it comes to child abuse i believe our justice system is seriously flawed!
